A balcony, a courtyard or a quiet corner of the patio is all the Vela bistro set asks for. Two properly cushioned armchairs and a round table at full dining height, sized to turn the smallest outdoor space into somewhere you enjoy to sit down and eat.

It works because nothing about it has been scaled down except the footprint. The table stands at a true dining height, so breakfast, a long afternoon with a laptop and a glass of something at sunset all happen comfortably. The chairs have real arms and real cushions, deep enough to settle into rather than perch on. 

It is also built to exactly the same standard as the largest sets in the Vela range: the same hand-worked weave, the same comfortable cushions, the same rust-proof frame. Buying the smallest set in the range means buying less furniture, not less quality.

Both chairs are light enough to lift with one hand, so the set can follow the sun around a balcony through the afternoon, and the frame and weave look after themselves. The aluminium will not rust, the woven rattan will not rot, and the colour holds its tone summer after summer.

For Your Peace of Mind
The cushion covers are removable and hand-washable, and the glass top wipes clean in seconds. The frame and weave can stay outdoors throughout the year; bring the cushions in when the set is not in use and ahead of heavy weather. To maintain your cushions, clean them regularly with mild soapy water, and check care labels for specific instructions. Blot spills with a damp cloth, and let gel-based spills solidify before scraping them off. Store cushions in a cool, dry place when not in use, using appropriate cushion bags to prevent mold.
