A pergola with a roof allows you to experience outdoor socialising like never before - protecting from the elements while also serving as a focal point for your garden
Our metal pergolas have louvred roofs to give you control over the shading. A louvred roof is made of slanted horizontal slats that can be opened or closed. When you want to take advantage of sunny days, open up the slats fully. Otherwise, you can keep them closed, which renders your new pergola completely waterproof. This comes in handy in the UK where the weather can be unpredictable, even in the summer.
With Harbour Lifestyle pergolas, you don’t need to open the louvred roof to drain any excess rainwater. Our aluminium pergolas have a built-in drainage system that directs any excess rainwater from the roof into the framework of the pergola. Once in the framework, the water flows into the legs of the pergola and down to the ground.
Although contemporary pergolas often have open structures, you can create shade and intimacy by installing blinds or screens to one side of your pergola. At Harbour Lifestyle, our exclusive PergoSTET pergolas already have built-in textilene blinds that can be pulled down for both privacy and protection.
When the sun goes down, the built-in LED lighting strips will illuminate your new outdoor pergola so you can keep you socialising long into the evening. The LED lights can be an array of different colours and are dimmable so you can set the mood for relaxation or an intimate gathering in the evening.
Suitable for any patio or reinforced decking, our large, free-standing pergolas are made using high-grade aluminium, which won’t rust and is UV-resistant to prevent them from fading in the sun. This makes our pergolas maintenance-free and helps keep them looking sleek and beautiful for years.
Whatever your style, our square pergolas pair exceptionally well with many of our other products, like rattan garden furniture or corner garden furniture, so you can create a stylish, mediterranean haven in your garden. Available in black, white and grey to complement any style. Why not also create a welcoming spot for alfresco meals by pairing your new pergola with one of our kamado grills?
Choose from our wide range of pergolas for sale today and enjoy free delivery plus a three-year warranty on the frame and one-year warranty on blinds and louvres.
Want to know more? Here are some frequently asked questions about this collection.
A pergola is a structure built from posts and beams, creating a shaded walkway or a sheltered area. A pergola is typically used as an extension of a building, but its primary purpose is to provide a focal point in a garden or outdoor space. A pergola is also sometimes used to break up or define certain spaces architecturally.
Pergolas vary greatly in cost due to the differences in design, material and size. Typically, a small, open-roof pergola made of inexpensive wood cost £2,000 to £2,500, while sturdier, more elaborate pergolas made of hardwood or powder-coated aluminium cost anywhere from £3,000 to £5,000. Additional features like louvred roofs, blinds and curtains will increase the price as well.
The standard pergola height is 2.5 metres (m) to 3.5m, but this isn’t always the case. For example, if your pergola is within 2m of the boundary with your neighbour, it can be a maximum of 2.5m high as per UK regulations. If your pergola is further than 2m from the boundary with your neighbour, it can be a maximum of 3m high. Finally, if your pergola has an A-shaped roof, it can be a maximum of 4m high.
